I suppose that this song is about crime. It's calling us, and soon we will be in place where "angels fear to tread", but we don't think about this fact and we still keep on moving

This is my favourite song and to me its about drugs and the hold it has on a person.

i thought that was like how its the first thing that come to his mind and hold it has a hold on him and a circle around the sun is like how it cages his natural shine. I dont know though, its just a theory.

But looking at it again it could be about drinking and/or depression.

I completely disagree, to me this song has always been about someone feeling down, when times are hard, like if they're diseased. You should keep on moving far away, and don't you feel about giving up, because the day has just begun. You think you've had too much, but you should keep on going and the dawn will come, your life has just started. You will dance across the seasons to come and you will be happy (and with me - 'put your arms around me'). I'm not sure about the circle around the sun metaphore, it could mean anything. And about the angels... perhaps the place with the angels is heaven, but you won't be going there any time soon, because you're still alive and will keep moving.
