Cowardly warrior vents his rage
His lust for blood cannot be appeased
What fickle angels are we
Our divided brothers we slay
His lust will erase all
His lust for blood cannot be appeased
What fickle angels are we
Our divided brothers we slay
His lust will erase all

no offence to the above people, but i dont think it has much to do with civil wars and bush. its about humanities violent and cruel nature, and how when we get scared or sad or angry or anything, the first thing we do is jump into action and kill or hurt something. Thus the "cowardly warrior" is the human race. where it says "what fickle angels are we, our divided brothers we slay" its talking about how we all preach peace and say we want nothing but love, then we go and kill people over oil and petty, materialistic things. great song btw.
I'm surprised no one's commenting. The ultra-reverbed scream is a little bit overused in music today but it really works well in this song and I love it. The whole thing is really powerful and the contrast between sweet music and intense vocals is just beautiful. Favorite song on the album even though it's so different from the rest.
this song is obviously aimed at george bush or other political officials that wanted to go into iraq. its again trying to show that you have to realize that people stil cant see past race and people have the image that all muslims/arabs are terrorists.
My weirdo boyfriend claims he has spent countless hours analyzing the song and says its about the civil war. ex>>"cowardly warrior vents his rage" metaphor for the young boys sent off to war
you're boyfriend is really fucking dumb this song's clearly about bush word to unearth \m/
why bush? could be Satan like in Paradise Lost? 'fickle angels'
