I hear this version of lyrics are associated with copyright infringment. Hence "banned version." Not completely sure about that though.
I heard that it became the "banned version" due to Seals & Croft being offended by the new lyrics & saying if you don't do our song as a cover, don't do it at all. Either of us could be right, Wardracula.

And Summer Girl is on the album: Suicide Is Self Expression :) I believe Summer Girl got banned because of the lyrics sadly. Even though there's bands who write MUCH dirtier/kinkier stuff. Personally I love this song even more than Summer Breeze.
