These Ghosts, My Hopes, The Sand, The Sea Lyrics
I've been searching desert lands
Oh what a place to call home
The wind will wash away my traps
Oh what a place to call home
I'll do everything I can to hide the wounds on my feet to make myself look healthy
Oh what a place to call home, ohh
Please show me something that can shake my bones
I want to feel the fear rush through my veins
My hands are cold from holding on to hopes
Even ghosts have gone away
It's all the same
I've been sinking through deep seas
Oh what a place to call home
The current sings a ghostly tune
Oh what a place to call home
And I'll walk with the phantoms of the sea
Listen to the whispers until somehow I hear melodies
Oh what a place to call home
Please show me something that can shake my bones
I want to feel the fear rush through my veins
My hands are cold from holding on to hopes
Even ghosts have gone away
It's all the same
And I am a ghost of great
The sea
The sand
Just a memory of something sweet
And I'll say I've got everything I need
But the only thing I have is thrill of holding my breath
This is me drifting out to sea
Ohh what a place to call home
Oh what a place to call home
The wind will wash away my traps
Oh what a place to call home
I'll do everything I can to hide the wounds on my feet to make myself look healthy
Oh what a place to call home, ohh
I want to feel the fear rush through my veins
My hands are cold from holding on to hopes
Even ghosts have gone away
It's all the same
Oh what a place to call home
The current sings a ghostly tune
Oh what a place to call home
And I'll walk with the phantoms of the sea
Listen to the whispers until somehow I hear melodies
Oh what a place to call home
I want to feel the fear rush through my veins
My hands are cold from holding on to hopes
Even ghosts have gone away
It's all the same
The sea
The sand
Just a memory of something sweet
And I'll say I've got everything I need
But the only thing I have is thrill of holding my breath
This is me drifting out to sea
Ohh what a place to call home

honestly, u guys.... dld= pure genius... i randomly decided to just say that... and on this one cus it had no comments and looked lonely.. but anyways theyre awesome... i could listen to them all day.. and night... forever
oh god. i love this song.
I played this song on repeat for at least an hour....no joke. It's just so serene; i think it's about finding yourself.
so mellow and just oozes serenity. whenever i listen to this, all the worries of the world just fall off and u can just drift into that peaceful happy place =)
the lyrics are a bit sad and it sounds like the person is empty inside yet he drifts back to his place because it is all he has left.
just my 2 cents
oh and ofcourse props to dld, for being so awesome at what they do =)
its hard to believe how few comments this song has, its so serene and smooth and sad and sleepy at the same time...personally this song brings me inner peace..
My all time favorite song. Listening to this makes any experience a transcendent one. It seems to be about dragging yourself through life, telling yourself you are fine, in order to find some semblance of meaning in your life. There's a lot of loneliness that resonates from the lyrics, but it's beautiful. I never get tired of this song.
okay, i've always thought the lines went "my hands are cold from holding onto hopes/even ghosts have thrown away"... not "gone away". i'm confused! i definitely do not hear the word "gone".
anyone else?!
