Oh my godness are you crazy??? What the fuck is wrong with you?? First of all, Elton John really doesn't write his own lyrics. Second of all, what's the difference if you're gay or straight??! Can't you feel love??! Oh my god, you people love connecting EVERY SINGLE LINE in a text with some homosexual stuff or something else. I've been scared to enter the Queen section ever scince I read a couple of posts there. It's so beautiful, I can't even believe you can be proud of singing it while you were drunk! o_o Anyways, it can make anyone cry. At least anyone who has some heart or something :/ The restless warrior and the wide-eyed wanderer are such a nice part of the whole meaning of the lyrics, they definately create the whole feeling of the song. It makes us believe that everybody has their star-crossed voyager whose heart beats in time with theirs. And kings and vagabonds are both equal in front of it.

This song is about the relationship between werumm and his dad.

Right you are Pusito! Tim Rice worked well on this one! he actually came up with 2 versions of lyics, one for the song during the film, and one for the Elton version at the end.

By the way guys, I am also gay, and I can assure all of you that gay people like me do NOT choose to be gay. Nobody tells us to be gay, its just how we are. Wether it is meant to be, or wether theres something wrong with us has not been proven yet. I DO however know, that being gay does not affect our talents, skills and abilities in life. If anything it makes us stronger and more appreciative of things, as we have to grow hardened to all the homophobic abuse and rubbish we have to listen to on almost a daily basis from people like WERUMM. I like this Elton John song so much, because its peaceful and harmonious. it makes you remember the good times, the happy moments, it makes you feel moved. It is a peaceful 3mins of escapism from all the troubles of oursometimes miserable, bitchy, mickey taking civilisation

... by the way, for gay people it is even harder to find the right partner than for heterosexuals ! Imagine, as a young gay teenager you have your first true romance (hidden from the public; at that age even a lot of heterosexual Teens might have a short homosexual phase -> therefore it is still easier to find love for gay Teens). After this first romance you know what love is, but first of all there's only a small crowd to choose from (a lot of homosexuals hide their sexuality and if they wouldn't, they would still be a small minority) and secondly you hate yourself and your sexuality because a lot of people have prejudices and just tolerate your sexuality on the surface, if so. This makes many adult gays run around like suicidals. For some of them the self-hatred is so huge that they don't care about AIDS and don't mind death at all. I'msure that a lot of them end up dead, ill, mentally insane or lonely. - Just because we treat them as outcasts. @werumm : Since one of my best friends is gay I am able to talk WITH gays instead of just talking ABOUT them. This enables you to know the feelings and attitudes of these interesting people. @all-american girl : They are very good at what they're doing because what they create with their hands and their brain is the only way to learn to accept the face in the mirror, while their sexuality destroys any self-respect.

So? Um hello? werumm, that doesn't make any difference at all. This is a beautiful song, and Elton John is a very talented person. The words are wonderful, does anyone have any clue to what they acctually meant tho?

Huh, well he doesn't even write the words to his song. Also, this was written for the Lion King so i'm not sure there's going to be any hidden meanings like that in there.
