Though this song is devoid of any profundity, it might aid the listener to know that Primrose Hill is a place in Greater London, which offers a nice view of the city.

Cook and his wife were going through really hard times together when he was making this album. Many tracks on Palookaville dealt with that.

According to Allmusicguide.com, Primrose Hill was where they first lived together.
