Okay, in the first stanza, at the very end where it says, "but I'm already hell," it should be "I'm already there," obviously. If you listen at all you can tell that that is what it is, plus it completes the rhyme scheme. I'm pretty sure of myself on this. Gosh, get the lyrics right next tiem.
The first time I heard this song I thought it was about a bad relationship in which the girl was making him feel down.
But looking at the lyrics again I think in this song Papa Roach have personified alcohol and the song's about the hold alcohol had over Coby's life etc. It's clever how they do it I think a lot of bands do it in their songs. All of the lyrics seem to fit this theme especially the chorus.
dealing with alcoholism thats all it is, its coby's alcohol problem in full force, which is felt in a lot of songs, this can apply to any addictions, unless you can control your addictions they'll take over.
Has anyone noticed that the Lyrically better songs by Papa Roach are the ones concerning Shaddixs Alchoholism?
obviously about alcoholism. a beautiful song to me, because i can totally relate. coby's vox are so brutal it's like a dream come true because i know his pain on a personal level. hate to say but while their writing continues to suffer (their new record) coby's intensity grows and damn he's on hell of a singer.

heh, this song used to be too true for me back in my senior year of high school. not that I had a problem with alcoholism (as to where Id do bad in school, relationships, etc) but I was still drunk just about 24/7, but the whole first verse fit perfectly with my morning.
