Reasons Lyrics
Now, I'm craving your body
Is this real?
Temperature's rising, I don't want to feel
I'm in the wrong place to be real.
Whoa, and I'm longing to love you
Just for a night,
Kissing and hugging and holding you tight.
Please let me love you
With all my might.
Reasons, the reasons that we're here,
The reasons that we fear
Our feelings won't disappear
Ooh! And after the love game has been played
All our illusions were just a parade
And all our reasons start to fade
La La La etc.
After all our reasons why
All our reasons were a lie
After all the reasons love was left aside
I'm longing to love you for one night
Please let me love you with all of my might, baby
Ooh, baby!
Reasons, the reasons that we're here,
The reasons that we fear
Our feelings won't disappear
Ooh! And after the love games have been played
All our illusions were just a parade
And all the reasons start to fade
And in the morning when I rise,
No longer feeling hynotized
Find our reasons, our reasons, our reasons had no pride
La La La etc.
After all the reasons why
All of our reasons were a lie
After all the reasons love was left aside
Hey yeah, ooh baby.
I can't find the reasons
That my love won't disappear
Can't find the reasons
Why I love you baby, my dear
Can't find the reasons
Wanna love you all night
Can't find the reasons
Gotta squeeze ya, real tight
Can't find the reasons
Baby, yeah, for my tears
Can't find the reasons why I love you
Is this real?
Temperature's rising, I don't want to feel
I'm in the wrong place to be real.
Whoa, and I'm longing to love you

the BEST ewf song
agree with drach
lust..one night stands--not too much more to explain here.
this song is about a one night stand
This song is about one night stand UNTIL the last lyric line "Can't find the reasons why I love you." The evoking of the word "love" suggests something slightly more complex than a one night stand. Perhaps the writer feels guilt, or can't sort out lust feelings from possible true love feelings, or thinks there is potential for something more but can't find the reason.
I agree with specimen38. It starts out as a one night stand but turns into something else. In the last line there is an unspoken part "Can't find the reasons why I love you" (but I do). I think it's one of the most honest and genuine love songs out there. Most often it's immediate physical attraction/lust that draws us to someone and when it becomes more than that, who knows what the reasons are.
It's about a guy who still loves his ex girl or wife even though there are million reasons not be attracted to her, not to love her.
They hook up for one night and it proves that his reasons for not being with her were a lie, that they mean nothing at the end of the day. He can have a million strong reasons for not being with her, but they don't stop him from being with her or still loving her; "my reasons have no pride"
The next morning, he realizes it's more than physical attraction. He can't find the reasons why he loves her or cries for still because there are no reasons. He should just move on but he can't. There are a million reasons to not be with her, but they mean nothing when he sees her.
It's a song about those relationships where should move on or get over the other because they are not good for you, but you can't. So even though you are better off without them, you still love them even though there are no reasons to; it's illogical.
A well written song.

The meaning of this song is simple. It's two people that are attracted to each other physically at first and that was their reason, that was "a lie", for being together but then with time they both realize that they actually love each other without having any reasons or ways to explain why. That's why the song is titled "Reasons" in plural.
The song is about a hand having a one night stand, and why it is wrong.
First, there is lust and desire that feels so strong and real that he thinks he has "good reasons" to do it. He says, "I'm craving your body. Is this real? Temperature's rising, I don't want to feel". He knows he shouldn't do it saying, "I'm in the wrong place to be real." But he can't help it saying, "I'm longing to love you Just for a night...". These feelings are the "reasons" to do it even though it's wrong.
After a night of passion, he wakes up and realizes that the "reasons" are gone! He says, "All our illusions were just a parade. And all the reasons start to fade".
The song ends with the man remembering that he thought he had good reasons at the time saying repeatedly, "I can't find the reasons..."

actually, it sounds to me like there was a break up of a serious relationship. the writer doesn't seem to be over it, though
I agree. Trying to find the reasons why he can't leave.
