You toss in a word
And I'm your villain
I see the passion emerge
And I'm your villain

But serious
You're so serious
Oh, like a waiter
Hating the rich
But taking their tips

Oh, if I could laugh I'd love you
Oh, if I could smile at anything you said
We could be laughing lovers
I think you'd prefer to be miserable instead
If I could love I'd love you
Oh, if I could love like anybody else
Anybody else
Anybody else

I know what I am
And I'm your villain
Oh, no, I don't give a damn
If I'm your villain

'Cause serious
You're so serious
But I've got ready salted
Ready on your belly
If you wanna have fun

Yeah
See you later
Baby, see you later (see you later)
See you later
Baby, see you later (oh, yeah)

See you later
Baby, see you later (see you later)
See you later
Baby, see you later (oh, yeah)
See you later
Baby, see you later (see you later)
See you later
Baby, see you later (oh, yeah)

My take on this song is that there are two people who are completely attracted to each other, yet they "hate" each other. If they just gave into what's between them they could be happy, but for now they're going to be miserable and loathe one another. But they'll get together sooner or later.

    Two words: Sexual tension.

this song was originally titled "Blonde Ambition", coz of Bob, i think i read somewhere. but before they performed the first time, they changed it. poor Bob... :-P heh, on second thought, he probably asked them to change it...

Just saw this song live yesterday, so awesome! Anyone know what the missing line is after "living lovers"? Think it has something to do with topless dancers..

Nice song. I think he's talking about a chick that's depressed or bored and thinks he's the only one who could make her life intresting. He knows this, but doesnt particularly care as she's too serious and miserable for him.

I'm almost sure the first part is about Bob. Especially with the fact that it was originally called "Blonde Ambition" after Michael's nickname for him. The waiter hating the rich but taking their tips and all that? Bob is the type to get really heated in debates about stuff. He's so serious. I think the "If I could laugh, I'd love you" is supposed to be him.

The last line, Alex said was just referencing something a girl once told him a date of hers did.
