ermm just one question...I read rapunzel but i don't recall anything about her singing...
A pretty straightforward meaning, really - I just wanted to say how much I love the violin's melody.
It's basically the story of Rapunzel. XD More so about a girl who was in distress and afraid to do anything about it. Then came encouragement. Very nice and calming. :D
'...One day a prince rode through the forest and heard Rapunzel singing from the tower. Entranced by her ethereal voice, he went to look for the girl and found the tower, but no door leading in, and no stairway leading up. He then returned often, listening to her sing, and one day saw the enchantress visit, thus learning how to gain access to Rapunzel....
...For months he wandered through the wastelands of the country. During this time, Rapunzel gave birth to the prince's twin children, a boy and a girl. One day, while Rapunzel sang as she fetched water, the prince heard Rapunzel's voice again and were reunited.'

I think that this song illustrates the importance of people to express their own "melody." By melody, I mean a person's individuality, personality--anything that just defines who you are. The chorus explains that a person has to "sing loud and clear" to be certain that someone else will hear and that he or she can't be scared to do that or no one will ever get close to the person. In a way, this is true; if you can't be yourself, no one will truly be "near" you.
The first verse describes how she used to sing to her pleasure when she was younger, but once she was confined within the walls of the tower, she lost her openness and instead was merely just "quiet, lovely and good." There's nothing wrong about having those characteristics, but she is no longer who she was before and her "voice", her passion, has disappeared.
After the somewhat inspiring chorus, Rapunzel tries to free herself from her imprisonment. She lets her hair down, but no one comes. However, when evening comes, she hears the stars cry out the chorus.
Although the song never truly finishes the story, it does not have to, because most of us already know the rest of the story, and because the song emphasizes the need for people to have the ability to express themselves, rather than the actual fairy tale. The prince finds Rapunzel, the enchantress finds out, the prince gets blinded, the prince searches for Rapunzel and eventually finds her again after hearing Rapunzel's song, and they live happily ever after. Because the prince could recognize Rapunzel by her song, he was able to reunite.
...This might be just a tad of over-analysis. Oh well. I really enjoy this song, especially the violin.

It's very beautiful. I didn't know the story of Rapunzel very well, but I like the song even more now. I love the violin and her voice in this song, I think it's my favorite.
i love this song.....and for EA its acctually quite positive not much of a dark side here....i love the celtic melody and sound it realy embrases her heratage and its quite playfull and soft...i love it
