Did you ever get the feeling that you were all alone
And no one ever knew you and you never had a home
And the lights and the colors do their best to distract you
Fuck you. I don't even know why I like you
It's all a blur [x2]
Like a picture,it's all a blur
You don't know what you're missing
You don't know what you're missing
I've been trying so hard just to keep away
And now look where I am standing at today
Trying so hard to walk away
But it's impossible to watch you fade away
Did you ever stop believing after all was said and done?
When you turned to your friends but they were long gone
And the sky and the snapshots remind you
I trust you and I'm always going to miss you
It's all a blur, it's all a blur
Like a picture
Reminds me who you were
[Repeat Chorus]
Every time I see you look at me
I see those distant eyes and your looks are fading
Every time you're next to me
I want to talk and feel and act like we used to
Cause everybody knows and everybody cares
Until they're walking in my shoes
And now I know
It's you that I cannot lose
It's all a blur
And I owe you
You can take it all
When I call, pick up the phone like you used to
It's all a blur
Like a picture
It's all a blur
You're just a blur!
I've been trying so hard just to keep away
And now look where I am standing at today
Trying so hard to walk away
But it's impossible to watch you fade away
Trying, dying so hard
I've been denying that I'm not scarred
I've been crying, lying so far
But it's impossible to fill this space
Impossible to take your place
Impossible to watch you fade away
Watch you fade away [x3]

Wow, I can't believe that no one has commented on this song. No one has commented on it on other websites either! This song means soo much to me. Mainly the lyrics. I have had so many friends where we have been best friends, then we sorta just fade away from each other, and you can be sitting next to each other and you know it will never be the same again. You just want it to be the same ("When I call, pick up the phone like you used to."). And it hurts so bad that it will never be the same, like no one can replace them. I think thats what this song is about. :(

this reminds me of my best friend who died nearly a year ago and how sometimes i still pick up the phone to call him because i forget.. and also that i hardly remember what he looked like because it's been so long and everything's become a bit of a blur

things change, it could be going to uni or moving away, your always going to drift apart from prople, and this song is talking about missing these people and how you feel when you see them again!

i love this song. it reminds me of a recent long-term break up that hurt like hell because neither of us wanted to break up but he made it so i just had to. i would listen to this on replay constantly. i love the "fuck you i don't even know why i like you" part because i was constantly thinking that. but the whole song fit the situation perfectly. overall amazing song. =]

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
