Fear No Pain Lyrics

Gonna be leavin',
gonna be leavin' soon,
this I know.

I'm gonna be leavin' soon,
where the water tastes like moonshine,
leavin' soon this I know.

Don't you miss me then,
don't you miss me when I go.
Dont you miss me then,
just sleep my lady friend,
and wait till I come home.

I ain't gonna fear no pain,
I ain't gonna fear no pain any more,
I ain't gonna fear no pain,
ain't nothin' worth that strain,
I'm gonna walk in the hands of the lord.

God wont do me wrong,
God won't do me wrong this I know,
God won't do me wrong
my steps become so strong now,
I know he wont do me wrong.

I love this one. Modern folksy gospel makes me buzzy and pleased - see also Sufjan Stevens' "to be alone with You".

This song is lovely. I love the bit where it speeds up.

Um I think the meanings quite obvious so I won't write loads about that. Just basically Willy wants to leave and get away, and he knows it is a risk but it will work out because he has faith in God.

Well .. that's my interpretation!
