Untold Lyrics
don't go with your dreams untold
don't leave me on that old black road
july thunder, something's undercover
something's lost, something ain't right
you slide by me in the cool air of night
drive by in my car for you
look me in the eyes, that's what i can believe
don't go with your dreams untold
don't leave me on that old black road
now as i pass through these fields at last
i hear someone calling me
could be your voice, could be a voice i don't know
so hold up, hold up while i look around here
maybe baby you would just phone me
don't go with your dreams untold
don't leave me on that old black road
don't leave me on that old black road
something's lost, something ain't right
you slide by me in the cool air of night
drive by in my car for you
look me in the eyes, that's what i can believe
don't leave me on that old black road
i hear someone calling me
could be your voice, could be a voice i don't know
so hold up, hold up while i look around here
maybe baby you would just phone me
don't leave me on that old black road

This is such a great song, I don't understand why no one has commented on it, especially since it featured on One Tree Hill.
I have no idea what it means really, if someone could tell me that'd be great.
man i love this song. I was watching the episode of OTH it was in today(which made me realize something big but thats besides the point). it is so awesome!!!
This is such a beautiful song, and it makes the ending of the One Tree Hill episode so much better:) The line don't go with your dreams untold means a lot to me. I think it's about not being to able to do something or get someone, but things get better in the end...
I think its about getting passed by, by someone you thought liked you
I think it is telling someone how you really feel before the time passes you, whether it be leaving for college, or passing away

Wait till a day when you're reminded of your own mortality in a very resonating sense. Then listen to this song keeping in mind you still have time no matter how salient the thought of death may be or how much you feel like you've just experienced it vicariously. You might feel the world's stagnant and dead depending on what you've just witnessed; but you remember there's life and a future just waiting. It's uplifting. Thats when you feel grateful and things start getting serious again.
