I think the song is simply about fear... how alot of humanity let's it drive our lives in a daily grind... so much so to the point that some of humanity sees the need to destroy anything that they fear... wherras those of us with the bravery and courage to stand up to the fearfull will be our only saviour, if the fearfull doesn't pollute the minds of the blinded feebled minds of our dear brothers and sisters that need our help!

skin deep it is a story about a man whose home was destroyed by a dragon, seemingly the man gose to exact revenge

I agree with ZehmBahDeh a man who survived and witnessed a dragon burn down he's villiage/city, and he's friend and family died. He is angry yet upset. he goes on a quest to kill the dragon, but theres many obsticales on the way.

Yeh id say this song is jus a big story. Basically guys village or town gets destroyed by dragons so he travels around killing all the dragons that are left. And i definitely agree with AlcoholicA. Dragonforce are teh uber pwnage

Now that ivce thought about it this song confuses me. Some of it sounds like its from a dragons point of view and other bits sound like ppls point of view. I dont no anymore TT :S

You guys are all dumb, except pFB. The dragons are just a symbolization for a conflict. DragonForce fukin pwns. Anyone that says they're all just some retards that sing about dragons and swords should kill themself. It's meant as music to inspire and it's a lot deeper than dragons and swords. That's my theory anyway. take out of it what you will.

Am I the only person who thinks of Season 1 Sailor Moon when I hear this?

The Black Kingdom invaded the Moon Kingdom and destroyed it, killing the Senshi. They were sent 1000 years into the future to get a second chance at life.

The memories came back, first with Venus, then the others. The memories ignited in them the courage and power to face the Black Kingdom again. Reveal my name? Can you say Princess Serenity? The Moon Princess?

The chorus primarily reminds me of the final battle with Beryl at the North Pole. The land of ice and snow, face all the fears of the world (the four youma that killed them).

"Since the time we saw the sign Destruction of your feeble mind Centuries have come and gone but nothing's changed"

The Black Kingdom has returned and is beginning to destroy their lives again, forcing them to give up their dreams to become the Sailor Senshi once more.

"Hopes and dreams have disappeared Destruction of your kind is near Trapped inside your suffering eternal flame"

Same as above really. The end of the world is coming so they have to give up everything they hope for the future.

"In the depths of your desire So secretly you feed the fire Burning through the memories of all our lives"

They embrace who they used to be as it approaches the end, both past and present lives converging as they prepare to settle what they didn't in the past.

"Watch the day turn into night You reach out for that guiding light First to be the one to hear their blinding lies"

This verse seems to fit Prince Endymion becoming a servant of Beryl (first to hear their blinding lies). She lies and takes over his mind, but acts as the guiding light to his confusion over who he really is.

Oh yeah, I just so broke down this song to fit Sailor Moon. I win.
