This song expresses the self-hatred Caleb feels after sleeping with a 17 year old girl, who he has nothing in common with.
They french, so he ignores her age, and has sex with her, but then her imaturity shows, she gets possessive, and her tears "pool on the table," lingering in his memory, leaving their "mark behind." She's talking shit ("changing her story around") as "she's absolutely wasted," and Caleb yearns for a grown-up woman, a "leading lady" he can really relate to ("I just don't where they can be found").
