I agree it's about suicide or though of suicide because of a broken relationship and how over time he feels worse and worse just wanting her back hence the line

This band are truely fucking AWESOME. and the meaning behind the song i would say DUAL has it pretty spot on.
I think that you are supposed to take note of the fact that he is killing himself, rather than the device used to instrument such an act. It seems that he is already regretting his plot of suicide, and is extremely hesitant as to the actual act, but knows that there is no other escape.
It's about a person who commits suicide because of the fact the he/she ist broken-hearted ("every end shows your tender face")
