Theme from Pinata Lyrics
Well, I wish I had a parachute
Because I'm falling bad for you
And I can see the ground approaching now
Nut I'm not sure what to do
I feel like the piñata
Won't you take a swing at me
If you could just crack the shell open
I think inside you would find something sweet
And I hear you're like a hunter now
Your footsteps in the leaves
And I would glady leave my hiding place
I'm hoping to be seen
So let your arrow fly
And sing, I'm well within your aim
And lay your traps for a thousand miles
Please don't let me escape
Winter came to Omaha
And left us looking like a bride
A million perfect snowflakes now
And no two are alike
And so it's hard for me imagining
The flaws in this design
I know debris, it covers everything
But still I am in love
With this life
Because I'm falling bad for you
And I can see the ground approaching now
Nut I'm not sure what to do
I feel like the piñata
Won't you take a swing at me
If you could just crack the shell open
I think inside you would find something sweet
Your footsteps in the leaves
And I would glady leave my hiding place
I'm hoping to be seen
So let your arrow fly
And sing, I'm well within your aim
And lay your traps for a thousand miles
Please don't let me escape
And left us looking like a bride
A million perfect snowflakes now
And no two are alike
And so it's hard for me imagining
The flaws in this design
I know debris, it covers everything
But still I am in love
With this life

second off, it's actually "Theme FROM Pinata", so you really should read the CD/LP inset/sleeve. but it's a love song, the first verse is of falling in love and hoping they will give him a chance. the second verse is about being shy and holding the crush secret, knowing they like him too, and wanting them to come open about it first- and/or, he's making them chase him. the third verse is using snowflakes as a metaphor for people- and while he knows there are flaws in people, he doesn't want to see them because at the moment, he's in love with everything and doesn't want to ruin that.
this song makes me want to fall in love but it still makes me sad. i think it's about giving people a change and such
won't you take a swing at me if you could just crack the shell open i think inside you would find something sweet
that just kills me.
For everybody (not only on here, I've seen other forums/discussions as well) who is complaining about the childish almost bad teenage poetry part of the beginning, ever think of this?
Writers often use more than just words themself to introduce a concept. I think by using the simplicity of those beginning lyrics, he is trying to get across that the love, or the crush even, he feels is really childish--pure, innocent. And I think this is encouraged with the children laughing shortly after.
It's not the actual words, but they way he writes them, which are the brilliance that some people are seeming not to understand.
I love Bright eyes, but this song kinda sucked to me. It sounded great, but the lyrics sounded like a list of bad pickup lines, and ive kind of come to like bright eyes mostly cause of their lyrics.
Well, I wish I had a parachute Because I'm falling bad for you And I can see the ground approaching now Nut I'm not sure what to do
someone needs to change the word "NUT" to "BUT" maybe ...?
As far as I can tell this is the same vocal recordings from the parachute song, plus plenty of new instruments. Sounds really cool.
this version is so awesome
i love this song.
this song is beautiful it teaches you to take a shot at some one you normally wouldnt learn to love...just to see whats inside...or maybe someone waiting for you..or your waiting for that moment when they will just finally know the real you
i feel like the pinata won't you take a swing at me if you could just crack the shell open i think inside you would find something sweet
