And the Earth spins 'round while the people fall down,
And the world stands still, not a sound, not a sound.
There is love, there is love to be found.
In the worst way, in the worst way, in the worst way.

It's the buzz, it's the buzz, it's the buzz.
It's the buzz, it's the buzz, I wish I was.
It's the buzz, it's the buzz, it's the most fun.

From a little shell at the bottom of the sea,
With the Earth and the Moon and the Sun above me,
But the world fell down with some people still around,
There is love, there is love to be found.

With the gods all gone and the souls making sounds,
In the worst way, in the worst way, in the worst way.

It's the buzz, it's the buzz, it's the buzz.
It's the buzz, it's the buzz, I wish I was.
It's the buzz, it's the buzz, it's the most fun.

From a little shell at the bottom of the sea,
With the Earth and the Moon and the Sun around me,

There is love, there is love, there is love.

It's a buzz, it's a buzz, it's a buzz.
It's the buzz, it's the buzz, I wish I was.
It's a buzz, it's a buzz, it's a buzz.

For me, this is about when you feel so absolutely alone and lost inside, so far away from everyone and everything, that this distance only compounds your isolation and sense of oblivion from others.

The singer, though, has some notion/belief of the possible salvation and joy of love, but maybe their experience has had this polluted/corrupted by a lack of emotional closeness through perhaps abuse or the emptiness of casual involvements with people who didn't care about her.

To me this song means how the buzz feels, whether it be from life or other substances. She talks about how the buzz comes in the worse way but also of how there is love in it. In the midst of all chaos you can wish you were still buzzed but still you wonder if it was a good thing.

I think this song is talking about when love is wrong, when you fall for a close friend, or someone totally out of reach, or someont you shouldn't have but they give themselves to you anyway, things like that. How you know things are wrong, but love is so blind, and you just go for this so-called 'buzz' you get from the whole 'wrong' of things that you shouldn't do. Saying how people go from tiny little things, surrounded by beauty, but grow to be polluted with the world and the wronging. Also I think it might be saying how when people 'fall down', I think she is meaning that people turn dark, discover hidden truth in people, but there is still this 'love' to be found. Oh how very much else I could say.

i think its very clear that the "buzz" is coming from a shell. i dont know how it could be taken other way considering the song title and the lines following "it's the buzz" the sound from a shell when u put it to your ear is known to "tell the sounds of the ocean" and i think she is just saying how every thing is connected and how the past is always there even if you are far from that moment in time just like the shell isnt in the ocean anymore yet it can still make the sounds of the ocean.

i think this song does mean that in the midst of all chaos, there is still hope and love to be found.

"But the world fell down with some people still around, There is love, there is love to be found."

i dont understand what the "little shell at the bottom of the sea" represents. can you tell me?

but i think the song talks about how she doesnt understand how love can hurt people, (bad relationships, STD's) and how everyone wants love ("its the buzz"). i see the STD's where it says "And the Earth spins 'round while the people fall down" and "With the gods all gone and the souls making sounds" The reference to the gods all gone means to me that she cant see how there are gods, because if there were, they would not allow everyone to be hurt by love. I also see the reference to STDs in the line "There is love, there is love to be found In the worst way, in the worst way, in the worst way" because it says many people try to find love by having sex with tons people ("in the worst way").

I could be way off but tell me what you think!

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
