Young Man Blues Lyrics
Oh well a young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
I said a young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
You know in the old days
When a young man was a strong man
All the people they'd step back
When a young man walked by
But you know nowadays
It's the old man
He's got all the money
And a young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
I said nothing
Everybody knows that a young man ain't got nothing
Everybody
Everybody knows that a young man ain't got nothing
He got nothing
Nothing
Take it easy on the young man
They ain't got nothing in the world these days
I said they ain't got nothing
They got sweet fuck-all
I said a young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
When a young man was a strong man
All the people they'd step back
When a young man walked by
It's the old man
He's got all the money
And a young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
I said nothing
Everybody
Everybody knows that a young man ain't got nothing
He got nothing
Nothing
They ain't got nothing in the world these days
I said they ain't got nothing
They got sweet fuck-all

It really is lol I have the live version and it pretty much dominates They were great live.. not the same... psychicness of Zeppelin.. But they had a really cool unique live sound
Plus they were just crazy
My mom and aaunt saw Zep on the US '77 tour. Both said it was the worst show they'd ever been to. Page seemingly forgot how to play halfway through and they were basically wobbling around and hitting a random note on an out-of-tune guitar and bass and just wacking away at the floor tom while Plant mumbled random bullshit.
Actually, I have a playlist of this on youtube... live at the Isle of Wight '69, in London c. Dec '69, at the Tanglewood Music Shed July of '70, the Isle of Wight '70, again in '74, and finally in Chicago in '79. I also have 2 or 3 covers included. Too bad there ain't video footaage of the Leeds version- but that one is a bit clean for me anyway.
I should also mention, Macca, that this song was written around 1957 by jazz-blues pianist Mose Allison.
them playing this live at woodstock is amazing. They were all fucked up on lsd.
Ill check them sets on youtube
Mose Allison, yeh , heard them explain about 'da jazz sage' on Live at Leeds when I checked that. Its a tune man, the who were so tight musically.
Bad ass music
The WHO are fuckin lethal, the best set of musicians in a band for me man.
