Easily one of the most powerful and moving songs I've ever heard, for the melody alone.
haunting. moving. it makes me think of destinies, of fate, of immortality, of my place in the tapestry of life.
My favourite part is in the end wehn josh sings "I Live forever"
Something about the way he sings it makes me think " forever is an awefully long time" and I noticed just how powerful the word forever is lol its strange but think about it

This is from the movie Troy, played -- I believe -- after Achilles dies. It's very fitting for the movie, and it's just a beautiful song in general.

well, its obvious the song is about achilles, the whole film is about how he craves immortality through the ages in stories as a fearless hero. agree with de7ilznite it is very moving. 'I will never die...' I love the kinda eastern female vocalist in the background! Its like hes acheived his goal, but not in the very brutal masculine way you presume he will at the begining because his charactor falls in love with the princess of troy, I guess you feel hes reached his goal it kinda leaves a silence at the end of the film...a bit like the last sonnet of romeo and juliet sigh good song :thumbup:
This is such a powerful song. Like a heart beating he goes on, immortal. Love it!!!! I watch the movie just to hear the song at the end!!!!!!
