Like a Drug Lyrics
Since you’re gone, I sat at home
Wonder why no I’ll never be free
But the thought of you
Goin with another guy
No, it could never be me
You took a ring and pawned our love away
What can I say, I am left behind
So I take a drink, another cigarette
I can’t forget that you once were mine
What can I say?
I guess it wasn’t meant to be
Now you’re gone,
It’s just, your love is like a drug
It’s been so long
Your folks have bet you gone
I know that you’re alive inside
So I hope and pray you won’t throw this love away
I just wish that you still were mine
Wonder why no I’ll never be free
But the thought of you
Goin with another guy
No, it could never be me
You took a ring and pawned our love away
What can I say, I am left behind
So I take a drink, another cigarette
I can’t forget that you once were mine
I guess it wasn’t meant to be
Now you’re gone,
It’s just, your love is like a drug
Your folks have bet you gone
I know that you’re alive inside
So I hope and pray you won’t throw this love away
I just wish that you still were mine

This song has a 70-like feel to it. Love the guitar and Josh's voice!
It reminds me of Chris Isaac. Definitely some Tarantino would use. Yeah it speaks for itself. Being like a drugs meaning it was good once but now hes fucked up from it.
no one has yet commented??? i like the song. i think its funky!! but then i like all of their songs.this one is a particular favourite on this albumn though.
its basically saying that the persons love is like a drug....ADDICTIVE!!!! (a little like the song)
the guitars remember me a lot of the music out of "from dusk till dawn", a very lot.
Sounds like it should be on the soundtrack for a David Lynch movie too.
This song is very very poor compared to the original which had a sure fire 60's almost Del Shannon vibe.
this song makes me think of my two vaginas
i love this song. it sounds like it should be in pulp fiction.
KS... Oddly enough, that's the exact thought that I had when I heard it.
Yes it is similar to 'After dark' off dusk till dawn, but in my opinion its much better, perfect finisher for lullabies :-)
