Floating Lyrics
Come to me my love
One more night
Come on
Cause I don't wanna be without
Without you
In the air tonight
So cold and strange
Winter of loss
When I have changed
She is floating out too soon
So soon
In our room
Inside
With these ones
I want to hide
She is floating out too fast
Too fast
Come to me
My love
One more night
Come on
Cause I just wanna talk with you
Again
Come to me
My love
One more night
Come on
Cause I just wanna hold you close
Again
One more night
Come on
Cause I don't wanna be without
Without you
So cold and strange
Winter of loss
When I have changed
She is floating out too soon
So soon
Inside
With these ones
I want to hide
She is floating out too fast
Too fast
My love
One more night
Come on
Cause I just wanna talk with you
Again
My love
One more night
Come on
Cause I just wanna hold you close
Again

i think it's about a girl he loved that died in the winter time and he wants her back. It's a really amazing song and it makes me think of someone, not that i lost but who'd i'd like to see again.
Glentipton, I agree. I also think it could be about a breakup (like most songs can be interpreted if you've just broken up with someone) and he misses her and just wants to speak with her one more time- maybe for closure.
Amazing transition into this song. It practically makes my heart jump every time because I love it so much.
I think he's feeling the distance growing. Perhaps they haven't split yet. It's like the transition from fall to winter - life and goodness is fading away, just as what was good in their relationship is floating way from him too fast. He was to cling on but she's just getting further and further away.
obviously interpretation is in the ear of the listener. in my mind, it is about someone he loves. i also interpret the line 'Cause I just wanna talk with you' as 'Cause I just wanna die with you', again the mindset i'm in. in love, but his love won't come to him, that's what I think he is singing about. die instead of talk to make the love seem that much greater.
There is a melacholic sadness in this song. The lyrics evoke a feeling of parting from a loved one. The reason could be anything the listener can identify according to his/her own experience. Truly a beautiful heart-renedered song.
I'm fairly certain it's not about someone who is dead. In Duk Koo Kim the lyric is repeated but changed from "Come to me my love" to "Come to my once more my love." It makes me think that both songs are about the same person (as well as Carry Me Ohio) and that the person is still in an out of his life because he is deeply in love with her but feels that he is just too distant and cold of a person to give her what she really deserves.
This song makes me cry and it's all my fault.
