Dust in the Wind Lyrics

I close my eyes, only for a moment and the moment's gone.
All my dreams pass before my eyes in curiosity.
Dust in the wind.
All they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song.
Just a drop of water in an endless sea.
All we do crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see.
Dust in the wind.
All we are is dust in the wind.

Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.
It slips away and all your money won't another minute buy.
Dust in the wind.
All we are is dust in the wind.
Dust in the wind.
Everything is dust in the wind.

"dust in the wind" COULD be kind of like we are being carried along to our destiny by something great and powerful? the other way of seeing it is that we are just small particles of dust mixed into the vast air? "Just a drop of water in an endless sea." and it's just telling us not to take things too seriously, and not to take ourselves too seriously? "All we are is dust in the wind. Dust in the wind. Everything is dust in the wind." I DUNNO IT'S JUST AN IDEA.... well... many ideas.. actually.

It's originally a song by Kansas

This song always reminds me of the poem "Ozymandias" by Shelley - the eternally transient nature of man and life itself.
