Hm...I think it's about how somebody could have a near-death experience and they're saved.

The example used would be being trapped in an ice floe and being rescued by the icebreaker (ship)

After they realized how close they came to death, the person is starting anew and living life.

I probably missed the point...but thats what I get.

Alright, almost a year later, and my interpretation is the same, yet different. Tonight (the 20th) I learned something about somebody, and I realized..

The Icebreaker and person ON it speaking, could be someone reaching out to someone that's lost within themselves, and they seem stuck on the ice.

Using this song, you could say 'I want to be her icebreaker, the person that can be there for her when times are toughest'

More I wanted to say, but that's the gist of it.
