The name aside, I think it's about somebody who is depressed and suicidal, but acts happy for the sake of others, and Morgan is saying she can see what she's doing. In reference to the name, Life is often seen as a Career:

"Convictions see you through - are you all you know?" The certainty that she wants to die it what sees her through all the pain, and Morgan is saying "is that all there is to you?"

The act of happiness that this girl is putting on isn't fooling Morgan, and she's wondering if the girl was ever happy with herself "You always were a slow learner inside your ugly living lies" The girl was always slow to realize that nobody ever really believed she was happy and all the lies she told to cover it up didn't work "Tell yourself that next time you cry" Self explanitory...

Seeing as this song was released on UNTIL THE END, years after Talena left the band, I doubt that. The girls aren't exactly best of friends with Talena anymore. Anyway, that rumour about her trying to kill herself on a bus is total bullshit... it was painful trying to read your comment anyway...
yeah, i think it's about talena but it seems to be in a regative light, and i think the suicide thing is more metaphorical than that.
instead of 'social suicide' it's 'career suicide' meaning that she did something to make her unpopular in her career, I E the band.
