Climbing Lyrics
Climb, climb, I always climb
out of bed in the morning on a mountain made of sand
And I know this doesn't rhyme
but the clutter on the table has been getting out of hand
I know that you tried to see me through
But honey I'm still having trouble finding out what's you
Time, time, it's so sublime
Well they say it's nonexistent but it's playing with my mind
And phone calls don't cost a dime
In the caverns of your feeling where the sun will never shine
I know that you tried to see me through
But honey I'm still having trouble finding out what's you
Mine, mine, which things are mine?
Well I thought I saw a few before I found out I was blind
And I think I see a sign
And it's saying where to go and when I get there what I'll find
I know that you tried to see me through
But honey I'm still having trouble finding out what's you
out of bed in the morning on a mountain made of sand
And I know this doesn't rhyme
but the clutter on the table has been getting out of hand
But honey I'm still having trouble finding out what's you
Well they say it's nonexistent but it's playing with my mind
And phone calls don't cost a dime
In the caverns of your feeling where the sun will never shine
But honey I'm still having trouble finding out what's you
Well I thought I saw a few before I found out I was blind
And I think I see a sign
And it's saying where to go and when I get there what I'll find
But honey I'm still having trouble finding out what's you

i think this is about a couple who move in with each other and they have an intimate relationship but they aren't emotionally open with each other and all of their belongings get messed up cause he cand find his stuff cause its all mixed up but then their baby cums and they forget about love so he needs to learn to put don the pipe and just lear how to be a mountain climber also he keeps working and working cause you couldn't REALY climb a mountain made of sand, cause that be tiring, also it'd get in your shoes and who wants that... unless you have sandals on... so i THINk that this is a metaphor for him working and working but not really getting anywhere in his relation ship and him not rele having goodenough sex with his lover
this song is about a guy whose wife is made of cheese
"unless you have sandals on" :)
Positive and nonchalant , Curt and the boys come at Country and Western with a fresh askewed angle. Freshly twisted for 1983 and still highly original to this very day, this song has it's own beauty, all the songs on this album have their very own perspective.. There is no other album quite like MPll.
