Probably the best song of 2004 in my opinion.

The way the last verse is so racy compared to the others suggests to me that there are mixed emotions.
Sad, but at the same time angry/frustrated.
This song sums up beautifully how I feel right now. One moment I'm so low and feel as emotional as the first two verses. But the next I burst out inot this anger like the last verse, but that dies away and I'm left with nothing.

That's how I felt when I broke up with my first boyfriend... :[ This song would always be on repeat for me... It just... explained it all. Because I felt that that would be my last time to love someone, and that one person had been the one keeping my life together. Afterwards, it just seemed like I was clinging onto something that was never going to happen... Out of nothing,... This song has to be one of the very best of 2004. It has a very personal meaning to me as my current situation relates to it very well. For me, it's about someone who has been left behind by a girl who he loves very deeply, and there's nothing but excuses.

I fell every time - could mean, every time you came to me i fell in love with you even more, or it could mean, I collapsed under the pressure and ended up being useless.
