Gravity Lyrics
This is not the EMO band Embrace, but the POP band Embrace! Just for your information, darkershadeofwinter ;)
was written by Chris Martin but gave the song to his friend Danny (who sings this) as he thought he sounded so much like them. This about not seeing your lover for awhile and you are on the way to meet them and you are so excited - 'can you hear my heart beating'. Written on a plane I reckon.
this is such a beautiful song, it makes you think of like someone you love like a boyfriend/grlfriend..the song is the best on the album and der so shud be more little quotes on about this fantasic song!..yea time for heroes is ryt its bout not seeing your lover for a long time and then meeting up wif them.
Another Beautiful Song. I'm in an Embrace-mood today, and they're just fantastic!
Gorgeous song. It reminds me of my ex bf who I didnt see for a while and this song perfectly describes how I felt when I met him again and still had feelings for him..
agreeing with the whole not seeing ur lover thing but i reckon cos i think this band is christian...it could be to do with hard core worship-crying, heart beating, not looking down....long time running-been with jesus 4 a lng time wont stop now...?perhaps?MAYBE NOT, WHO KNOWS
Claire333, I see how it could be taken in a religious context, but to me, the fact that they use the word honey and baby suggest that it is definitely directed to a lover rather than god or jesus.
I agree with andypandy,I think that this song is about the one you love...but the one you PHYISICALLY love, not SPIRITUALLY...anyway,it's good to exchange different opinions about song lyrics...it shows that there's a different world inside each one of us,a secret universe...and some songs are the key for this universe...I love Gravity, even if it doesn't carry good memories for me,but everytime that I listen to it I can hardly breathe for it's so wonderful.
The line 'and I can't stop smiling, and I can't stop now', always reminds me of people creating an image for you, always thinking you're happy, and how it's really hard to show you're sad when people don't see you like that.
This song was actually written by Chris Martin from Coldplay to be put on their comming up album, however he gave it to Embrace to use instead.
