Saving the World Lyrics

Didn't I tell you everything's fine?
If there's a good and bad we're somewhere in between
Often I feel like we're all navigating blind
Could we get a change of pace to set the scene?

We could stay another day in this confusion
Let it permeate us 'til we can't move on

But while we're waiting we could try saving the world
Or are we storing that up for a rainy day?
I'm anticipating the time when it'll be my turn
It could be fun to try
I think that I'll save the world as a fun afternoon activity

Seventy thousand things to ponder today
The most significant are bottom of the list
Forty five million recipes and ways
To exaggerate and compound the stress

We could stay another day in this apathy
Let it permeate us 'til we're numb through

And while we're waiting we could try saving the world
Or are we storing that up for a rainy day?
I'm anticipating the time when it'll be my turn
It could be fun to try
I think that I'll save the world

Ooh

And while we're waiting we could try saving the world
Or are we storing that up for a rainy day?
I'm anticipating the time when it'll be my turn
It could be fun to try
I think that I'll save?

And while we're waiting we could try saving the world
Or are we storing that up for a rainy day?
I'm anticipating the time when it'll be my turn
It could be fun to try
I think that I'll save the world

this song is completely amazing. kinda a cop out to those who want to 'save the world' but really cant be bothered. i think i might try saving the world and the like.

but the song is more saying cmon guys, theres a million things to think about but the most important are what you thin about least.

the songs pretty straightforward, but i love it all the same. technicallitys in simplicity maybe? x

this is song is talking abt how we just wait for somthing to come along for us to do and keep us busy... but truly everyting thing has come and the chances have not been taken. everyday is an oppertunity to save the world and this song says just do it. take the chance to save the world. its the best thing to do out there

Well i don't know, this song kinda reminds me of C.S. Lewis' childhood where he used to stay in during rainy days and that's basically where he started creating his own imaginary worlds and writing stories. but not that i'm saying that that was the song's meaning.

So for the song... i think it means that "while we're waiting", we should do something productive and not just wait or slack around. Say, while waiting for revival, we should pray, and do our part to fulfill our roles in God's bigger plan. Something like that =)
