About people's expectations and what they expect you to be. You were so popular everyone loved you, you made a mistep and now nobody cares.
I agree. When you're famous people look up to you and some follow your every move, whether it be to mimic or to criticize it. It has to be terribly stressing at some points. And even though you may be very respectful of the position you hold in the fans lives every now and then you just want to tell people to go and find someone else to look up to because you can't take it anymore or feel you'll mess up.
Exactly, he's just saying, I make mistakes like everyone else, and all that pressure he felt by making his first solo album was too much for him to take, he does not want to be there anymore.
I can't really offer anymore insight towards this song, you guys already nailed it, I think. Great song, really is humanizing.

Going with what christina said.. This song has always applied to me in a way that someone loved me so much, and was unable to let go, thought I was the perfect person, perfect for them, etc. It's a horrible, horrible situation to be in, and this song just captures those feelings perfectly. "do yourself a favor, save yourself. don't pick me; find someone else." Amazing songwriting as always.
I feel It has many different levels, the pressure of fame and stardom that people crave .. the grass isnt always greener on the other side !! This can also apply to a relationship aswell. Its a brilliant "scream and let it out song" by the way he doesnt scream in the song .. but give it a listen you will know what i mean.. it is excellent vocally !
