"Scar" as written by Gavin Richard Harrison and Ricardo A. Byer....
He left a card, a bar of soap and a scrubbing brush next to a note
That said "use these down to your bones"
And before I knew I had shiny skin and it felt easy being clean like him
I thought "this one knows better than I do"

A triangle trying to squeeze through a circle
He tried to cut me so I'd fit

And doesn't that sound familiar? Doesn't that hit too close to home?
Doesn't that make you shiver; the way things could've gone?
And doesn't it feel peculiar when everyone wants a little more?
And so that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?

So the next one came with a bag of treats, she smelled like sugar and
spoke like the sea
And she told me don't trust them, trust me
Then she pulled at my stitches one by one, looked at my insides clicking
her tongue and said
"This will all have to come undone"

A triangle trying to squeeze through a circle
She tried to cut me so I'd fit

And doesn't that sound familiar? Doesn't that hit too close to home?
Doesn't that make you shiver; the way things could have gone?
And doesn't it feel peculiar when everyone wants a little more?
And so that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?

And I realized just in time, although my old self was hard to find
You can bathe me in your finest wine but I'll never give you mine
'cause I'm a little bit tired of fearing that I'll be the bad fruit nobody buys
Tell me, did you think we'd all dream the same?

And doesn't that sound familiar? Doesn't that hit too close to home?
Doesn't that make you shiver; the way things could have gone?
And doesn't it feel peculiar when everyone wants a little more?
And so that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?
Could you leave me with a scar?

General CommentYes, maybe there is some reference to sexuality in it, but i believe it is more about her reactions to relationships, trying to fit into the mould of what her partner wants her to be, while forgetting who she really is. In the first stanza she speaks of a relationship with a man. The card suggests a goodbye note, and cleaning with the scrubbing brush implies thathe wants her to clean herself of him i.e. have nothing more to do with him and get over it, which she seems to take as good advice by the line "this one knows better than I do"
"a triangle trying to squeeze through a circle" i see as meaning that theyre two separate people and don't fit together, and the triangle, presumably her, is trying to fit, and the only way to do that is change, or "cut" away at who she really is.
"could you leave me with a scar" implies an emotional scar so she wont forget the mistakes shes made in that relationship.
This next verse speaks of a woman. reference to sugar and sweets gives me the impression that she is enticing, but could be bad for her. I think of the sea as a powerful, soothing sounding thing, so speaking like it i belive would be a comforting, confident voice. "she told be don't trust them trust me"- i would see "them" as being men.
"..Pulled at my stitches one by one" i think suggests an emotional wound which was still trying to heal opened up revealing her vulnerabilities, impliled by when she "looked at her insides"
Again it mentions the triangle trying to fit into the circle and the female also trying to make her fit into what they want of her in the relationship
"i think i realised just in time" suggests that she figured out how she was changing herself for the relationships before it had gone too far, like marriage. " You can bathe me in your finest wine, but ill never give you mine"- shes now become more aware and has decided that just because she is being spoiled, it doesnt mean she will consent to give all of her old self away to fit into the relationship. It could also be seen as keeping assets separate.
"tell me did you think we'd all dream the same" is a rhetorical question trying to point out that everyone has different ideals, interests and dreams.

A little complicated , yes but it works out. Basically the song follows through her learning experience of different relationships, both trying to change her, or her changing herself, but getting dumped anyway- making it pointless.
