Calling Lyrics
I hear them calling to me from another world
Look at the place you live they say
Oh won't you join us in a world that's without pain?
I cannot listen without longing
To let go of my burdens sounds so sweet
Reasons to hold on there are many -
This i must remember when the sirens call to me
I hear them calling from beyond
>From beyond oh no no...
Sometimes i feel i can't go on
I hear them calling from beyond
>From beyond oh no no...
Must find the strength to carry on
I need you with me
When i awake the siren still resonates
In sadness from unremembered dreams
And in the prison of this longing
I'm waiting for parole, waiting to be free
I know that my time here has not yet come
There's still so much that's left to do and say
I know that my work here is not done
But I'll go to them someday
Look at the place you live they say
Oh won't you join us in a world that's without pain?
To let go of my burdens sounds so sweet
Reasons to hold on there are many -
This i must remember when the sirens call to me
>From beyond oh no no...
Sometimes i feel i can't go on
I hear them calling from beyond
>From beyond oh no no...
Must find the strength to carry on
I need you with me
In sadness from unremembered dreams
And in the prison of this longing
I'm waiting for parole, waiting to be free
There's still so much that's left to do and say
I know that my work here is not done
But I'll go to them someday

this song is beautiful, one of my favorites on the new album
too me this describes me, i feel so shitty at the end of the day, but if i listen to the right CD at the right time ill be in the greatest mood for the rest of the day, and when he says
"I hear them calling from beyond
hes simply saying i need your help so ill put this CD on and ill here you calling from beyond and your voice will make it all better and i can go on.
or its about traveling on the road and hes saying "i hear them calling from beyond" saying i have too continue these guys are paying good money too see us, we cant just stop the tour right now, that wouldn't be right!
this song is amazing. i mean, its a kind of dream in its own way. who wouldnt love to live in a world thats with out pain and leave everything behind? the music to it likewise is awesome, and just adds to the greatness of the whole.
I adore this song. I think its about suicide, but if not that in particular, just about wanting to give up. The sirens are like pressuring him to just give up, and even though he wants to he realizes there is alot to live for.
I think this song is about the trouble of losing someone very close to you
To me this song is about is about resisting the temptation to just give up and commit suicide to be with loved ones that are gone. "A world that's without pain" seems to describe heaven or whatever sort of afterlife paradise you may believe in. To me the "calling from beyond" is memories of a loved one(s). Regardless how sweet letting go of your burdens sounds he tells us that the "reasons to hold on are many" and this we must remember when the loneliness, misery, desperation, or whatever that makes someone feel like they can't go on. We'll all "go to them someday" (be with them).
At any rate this and The Long Road are in my opinion definitely some of Tiger Army's best work.
I love this song, Its one of the best on III. I cant believe no ones posted on it yet. Well at least im first!
