After the Flame Lyrics

How many days since we've spoken?
How many times have you tried
To mend the pieces of my broken heart?
Don't tell me everything's over
Don't take the sun from my eyes
It's much too late to be alone

When our love grows old
And the fire gets cold
I will scream and shout it
'Till there is no room to doubt it
When the colours fade
On the world we made
I will keep on trying
Long after the flame is dying

Too late too long to mention
Too wide to keep it inside
This renovation of my wounded soul
You are the wind of invention
You are the sun in my eye
You are the one who keeps me whole.

When our love grows old
And the fire gets cold
I will scream and shout it
'Till there is no room to doubt it
When the colours fade
On the world we made
I will keep on trying
Long after the flame is dying

Cover art for After the Flame lyrics by ATB

I think this song is primarily about focusing on life in chapters, letting yourself grow for breathing room. Roberta makes it sound like shes fighting against nature to really hold onto her 'love' that has 'grown old'. such a great song, the highest peak for me is at 2:30 the bridge and the rest of the song is amazing, lyrics as well.
