Tomorrow's Dream Lyrics
Well I'm leaving tomorrow at daybreak
Catch the fastest train there I find
Yes I'm leaving the sorrow and heartaches
Before it takes me away from my mind
Send me love and I may let you see me
Send me hopes that can spin in my head
But if you really want me to answer
I can only let you know I'm not dead
When sadness fills my days
It's time to turn away
And then tomorrow's dreams
Become reality to me
So realize I'm much better without you
You're not the one and only thing in my heart
I'll just go back to pretending I'm living
So this time I'm gonna have the star part
Catch the fastest train there I find
Yes I'm leaving the sorrow and heartaches
Before it takes me away from my mind
Send me hopes that can spin in my head
But if you really want me to answer
I can only let you know I'm not dead
It's time to turn away
And then tomorrow's dreams
Become reality to me
You're not the one and only thing in my heart
I'll just go back to pretending I'm living
So this time I'm gonna have the star part

I believe Ozzy had a girlfriend and she was pretty much the one in his heart. When Sab's gotten really popular ('roud '71-'72), Ozzy has found a new love in drugs (perhaps cocaine or something) so much he couldn't let go.His girlfriend was not #1 in his heart anymore. Their relationship suffered because of that love of amphetamines. At the end, he decided to tell his girlfriend "we have to part ways".
i think he will stay though... hes just pretending he is leaving, and saying to himself hes gotta go, but that is usually what people never do, even when they know it is the right thing to be done
This song was one of my late best friend's favorites. Unfortunately, he took his life back in 1994 and on his suicide note he asked us all to listen to Tomorrow's Dream. I think he identified with the lyrics due to his depression. It was enough to make him want to leave the world behind, and he did. RIP Matt. You are remembered. I miss you brother.

Great, usually unrecognized song. One of my favorites.
Yeah, this is a pretty nice song.
Vol. 4 in my opinionit's a classic. It just brings life it's course. And "Tomorrow's Dream" is definately a classic.
This is a great, underrated Sabbath song. Awesome drumbeat and guitar riff. Im guessing its about a relationship problem. It could also be talking to God, and its about suicide,or a passive wish for death, and losing faith. Also, i thought the last verse is "this time im going to have the star part"- listen to it, maybe some Crowleyesque allusion.
The last verse definitely does not say depart. Although it makes sense too. I listened to it like ten times and "the star part" does seem to fit best. It also sounds like he's saying "so this time I'm going to have to start pot" which seems quite possible knowing the topics of Sabbath's songs a lot of the time. I also "started pot" when my girl left me, but now I am much better without her.. hah

His heart has been broken by a woman, who he still has very deep feelings for and is hoping that she will open her heart to him again (or does he?)
The imagery is largely of him running away from his pain (caused by the split), but in the end he decides he must stand and face the pain (and move on). Although the last few lines suggest that perhaps he is truly over her
I like the interpretation of apenas_1_inaciao very much! It makes sense if you look at those lines: "You're not the one and only thing in my heart" but still very important! "So this time I'm gonna have to depart " this sounds to me like he had planed to depart a thousend times before, will he do it this time?
best Black Sabbath song, I believe it is about a reltionship problem
