I believe these lines:
"in blue, or whatever you say/well id like to be wrong"
are actually:
"In Bloomfield, or where ever you say/well, I'd like to feel robbed"
It makes more sense because it would make reference to Bloomfield, NJ (where Ted lives(?)/has lived) and just sounds better anyway.

i think in the beginning of this song "i used to goto church" is repeated and like scratched and towards the end "never do what you are told" is repeated i like the end part
the lyrics are sorta like in Ghost; "lift up your lonely heart and walk right on through"
about getting through the hard times i guess :)
Seems to have a lot to do with his experiences in Catholic school. "Now you're burned by all the lies that you once bought/And all the demons they created you once fought/Has it all been for nought?" I think those lines are about believing in the church and the things taught by the church, but then getting older and regretting those beliefs, but as indicated by the last verse "Well wear the cruxifications they've fixated to your mind" not being completely able to shake the spectre of those beliefs.
