Home/Rude Awakening Lyrics

I’m just a pilot here,
In things not always as they seem,
Try a little bit harder now,
Little bit harder than before,
And I think that this might be
The day that nobody,
Nobody comes home,
And I
Suppose today would be
A great day for a rude awakening

(chorus)
Awaken yourself tonight.
Open up your eyes,
There’s no way to hide
And awaken,
‘Cause it’s alright,
We could be anything,
Yeah, we could be anything.
And we are,
All lined up when You're ready
And we are,
So much closer now.
And we are,
About to blow history wide open.
And we will,
Finally know the truth
About You

And I will wait for You,
For all of eternity through,
‘Cause I never been the same now
Ever since You called out my name now
Please,
Take me as I am
A simple man
Takin my stand now
Can’t you feel it
‘Cause it’s so real
And it’s so reavealin'

This is a pretty rare TFK song. They did a show at Columbine after the shootings (I think a year after it happened), and neither the school nor their label would let them perform this song since it was written (supposively) for one of the victims. So instead, they made 100 copies on CD to sell at the show, all 100 were sold. Since then, they have not been able to perform the song as the result of a dispute between their label and them about burning the cd's and selling them (since the label holds all rights to production/selling of their material). If you find a copy online, it most likely skips some, but the song is amazing. Enjoy

Yeah, I found the one that skips a little, but I don't care. The song is awesome and yet depressing. But anyway, my meaning for the song is that... Maybe it's about realizing that's life's not perfect, and no one's perfect, and they just want to be accepted. Other then the first post, I believe there is another meaning to this song.

opps! I forgot to say something, maybe it's about a troubled soul figuring out that something else terrible happened, but by God's road along life, they'll find a way to get through the mess that they stummbled into.
