Forget About Tomorrow Lyrics

Calling, distorting
Reach the ends for you
Put a hole right through
Talking, we keep talking
Filling empty space
In this lonely frame
As the image fades into one

Today it all feels fine
A sense of freedom fills your mind
Can't think about tomorrow
Just breathe the air inside
And bring on back that lonely smile
Can't think about tomorrow

Twisting, constricting
On the edge for you
You know I'd jump right through
Falling, we keep stalling
I can see the ground
Someplace new to land
As the image fades into one

Today it all feels fine
A sense of freedom fills your mind
Can't think about tomorrow
Just breathe the air inside
And bring on back that lonely smile
Can't think about tomorrow

Because you feel yourself fall apart again
You hold your face inside your aching hands
The angels just come flooding down again
Bring us back again

Yearning, returning
To this empty street
As the city sleeps
Tearing, despairing
As the day comes in
As the morning sings
As the image fades into one

Today it all feels fine
A sense of freedom fills your mind
Can't think about tomorrow
Just breathe the air inside
And bring on back that lonely smile
Can't think about tomorrow

Yes it does feel like summer :-)

It's about that you KNOW something horrible is coming tomorrow, but you can put it out of your mind and enjoy yourself for just one day, which is a cheering thought. Reminds me of going back to school and having 3,000 deadlines on top of you, but it's the last day of the holidays and you're damned if you're going to spend them working when you have friends to sit and smoke and talk meaningless crap with. :-)

So many people have taken the 'Comfort in sound' songs only from a perspective of Jon. Grant never intended this. I believe everyone can totally personalise each song to their own.

They way i read it an have always felt about this song is that this couple/friends etc... are trying to Live without pain and drama, just free their minds, put aside the pain and just live today in happiness.

The verses show efforts of communication to reach new horizons...find new ground to grow from, talk and be honest to fill the emptiness which has appeared due to lack of communication and as they strive to brighten their relationship the split, distorted images fade into one.

With the image as one, seeing the relationship as it should be, clear and honest, the day feels good and they feel freedom within their minds as theyve reached new horizons...they've reconnected & its important to focus on 'the now' & not tomorrow.

The interude lyrics show the pain felt, the falling apart inside, the confused emotions, the tears.. the angels tears can cleanse them and they want to be in the image as one, 'bring us back again'

The new day is a new beginning, and they will do anything for one another to ensure this day is blessed with happiness 'refer to on the edge for you' (verse2) and 'the day comes in, morning sings' etc..

Thats my breakdown of this really good Feeder song.

The lyric is not "The angels just come flooding down again", its "The angels tears come flooding down again", i think. It's a beautiful song which actually makes you feel good.

Aw, just heard an interview with the singer, he said this was his favourite Feeder song ^_^

You know, I always thought that this song might be about learning to fly a microlight or a light aircraft ... believe me, there's drama when you do that. But I heard recently that it was about manic depression and bipolar disorder, so what do I know?
