Yup. It's about a friend having an affair with his wife. Since they are both people he cares about, he hopes they can be happy with each other even if they did both screw him over. He just simply wants nothing to do with either of them though, which is why there's "nothing left to do". The chorus really captures the feeling of his reluctant selflessness.

Not so sure about the murder thing though. "House of pain" means emotional pain. It's a good way to make the lines about the trenches make sense, though. But the rest of the song doesn't really give off that brutal of a vibe.

I don't know if anyone else thinks this, but to me it sounds like the narrator has jost got out of jail or something. And when he returns to his home his wife has moved on, but he loves her so much he just wants her to be happy no matter who she's with.

i dont know if this sounds too sadistic but i feel that the song is about the narrorator coming home and finding another man with his wife so in turn, he kills them. "Finding our home a house of pain, see in an instant things can change and never feel the same" when he sees his wife with another man he cant take it anymore and everything changes. "Trenches dug out the side of the road Remember the smell of earth in piles" that can be the narrorator looking back on the graves he built for them on some lonely road. "There was nothing left to do" once he was done with the dead he just walked on because his love was dead. and finally, in the last stanza where the narrorator repeats the chorus, it sounds like he is saying it in a sarcastic tone. o well thats just my idea.

It's a song about a pizza delivery man who has a crush on a frequent customer of the pizza place that he works for. He discovers that she has a boyfriend and is disappointed.

"If that's what you demand, then that's what I'll deliver" refers to his job loyalty and the fact that he still has to deliver the pizza.

Sad story really.

*Okay so maybe this isn't what the intended meaning of the song was. But one day I was listening to it and it all came to me.
