Yes... He is an amazing writer, and the chorus of this song is what grabs me every time as well. It's amazing! But I think the song is about his losing understanding of life and falling into deep holes (metaphorically speaking)... While he's lost in the sea of change, God is the only branch within his reach to pull him back to shore (understanding). This song is all about the metaphor that life is a sea, and currents will come along. But God will always be the branch to pull us back into place when the current causes us to "disappear... with no control."
Such an incredibly beautiful song. The way he sings the chorus gets me everytime. I love it. He is such a good writer and singer. This song pretty much looks like it's about a dying relationship. The way he talks about having "nothing left to give" pretty much gives it away. But also it looks like it's about how he'll never find the right person/place in life, and how it's all so confusing. That's my take, right or wrong, a really good good song.

This is just me saying how much I love this album, how much I love Sleeping At Last, and how they're so calming and relaxing.
It's also me loving how their songs can be interpreted in a number of different ways. Their songs can be interpreted as religious, or talking about problems between a relationship, or problems between friends and trying to work it out. This song could be the singer telling anyone to help him out, talking to random people. Or this song could be him talking to God, asking for His Help. Or even his significant other. Anyways I just love this band and this music just helps me so much thanks.
