That Girl Possessed Lyrics
We won't forget that girl possessed
We won't forget that girl possessed
Possessed
Who knew her legacy would destroy her future?
You had such promise before your rape
You had such promise before your rape
Born innocent but something had to give
Exploitation, erotica and horror
Even a spread in Oui magazine
And then your habit of getting caught
What a frightful night
Born innocent but something had to give
We won't, we won't, we won't
We won't forget you
(What a frightful night)
We won't, we won't, we won't
We won't, forget you
(What a frightful night)
You painted a picture so graphic
That no one could see past it
You painted a picture so graphic
That no one could...
They can't see past it
We won't, we won't, we won't
We won't forget you
(What a frightful night)
We won't, we won't, we won't
We won't, forget you
(What a frightful night)
We won't, we won't, we won't

someone write something about this song, please. i have no idea what this song means. their new album is fucking awesome though.
Best song about Linda Blair (The Exorcist chick) EVER!
I heard they wrote a song about Linda Blair (had no idea who she was), but now it's all making sense.

But why write a song about Linda Blair? Apart from starring in the Exorcist, what else has happened in her life that would warrant a song? :P

Why write a song about go-carting? I have no idea, maybe they really enjoyed the movies.
ahaha, to me it sounds like a song about marilyn munroe. but that might just be me. im probably wrong but you know..

Nah it's definitely Linda Blair

I think this song is about a girl that's been raped...

Nope - it's actual meaning is about Linda Blair. Let's look at the facts shall we:
We won't forget that girl possessed = We all know that in the Exorcist, Linda Blair's character was possessed by the devil - it's a pretty memorable film hence - We won't forget that girl possessed
Who knew her legacy would destroy her future? = Linda Blair will forever be know as the girl in the Exorcist and pretty much nothing else therefore her appearance in this film may be seen as destroying her chances of appearing in any future films without having the stigma of "Your mother sucks cocks in hell!!"
You had such promise before your rape = I'm guessing she wasn't much older than 14 when she appeared in The Exorcist. They may think that she was taken advantage of (her rape) by producers, directors, whoever, when she starred in the film
Born innocent but something had to give = Pretty self explanatory - born innocent until the film
Exploitation, erotica and horror = Well, the Exorcist was a horror film, but I'm unsure about the other two - did she turn to porn in her adult life? I dunno
You painted a picture so graphic that no one could see past it = Her depiction of Reagan was so graphic that no one could see past that performance and see her as anything else
The End - so no more arguments

Linda Blair didn't turn to porn. After The Exorcist, she did this movie about some "troubled girl" or whatever who was sent to, like, a reformatory and got raped there by some other girls in a bathroom. So I'm guessing that's what the song is talking about.
God, why do I know all this crap??
