clairebaby you couldn't be more right, def. my fave song too...and that's saying a lot. this band basically defines my life. the meaning of this song, at least to me that is, is basically a song about the harsh reality of life, the relief from it and where you find it. in this case, cutting is the relief. "so now that your whold world, has gone up into flames, this night is still never ending do you think you're still safe?" <-- basically says to me, this world is a bitch. when you're comfort is gone you turn to what relieves you. alcholol, mutilation, sex...pick your flavor. the world is harsh, and tomorrow won't necessarily come unless you make it yourself. please feedback, for i am hungry!

Awesome song. I love how all the guitars sound in this song. George's screaming in the middle of the song and at other parts is amazing.
One question: Does anyone know what George is saying when the chorus is about 1/3 in? It goes Tomorrowww..tomorrow..(and then George screams something here), and then Tomorrow... I REALLY want to know what it means, because I am really lost.
the party that says: "imagine if we lived, under the weather" is a reference to the Weather Underground, a militant activist group from the 60s and 70s. They took a violent approch towards acheiving social change (And this knife, this knife, It is my most important appendage) And were responsible for several bombings. The song is probalby written from the perspective of David Gilbert, one of the few members who was caught and is now in jail (Seems everything went wrong, We were discovered) There's an independent movie about it called The Weather Underground if you're interested
