It's about relationships where the one you look up to is always attention-hungry ((and doesn't realize it)) because they didn't get it when they needed it. So now when the singer needs this person, they always ask why things are such a big deal and push them aside; never truly listen to them.

this song reminds me of me and my mom too! this song is just exactly how i feel. my parents got divorced and i had an eating disorder, and i'm still depressed. my mom has a boyfriend and she's always out with him. the part in the song that says "mom, please hurry home to me, i waited up so patiently." it reminds me so much of my mom. she's always gone with her boyfriend and i'm up at home waiting to see when she gets up. and she always cries about everything, but never asks me about why i'm upset.
is soo colose to home. when it says "Was it my fault they lead you in the wrong direction" is soo my life because my mom did drugs with her friends and left me when i was 8. and when it says im so disapointed in you.
