Peter Pan Lyrics
i was stumbling into battle
i was walking into walls
'till i walked myself to peter
and i let my shadows fall.
he's a boy who never ages.
rides a goat around the lake
he's a friend who never falters
to change my circling fate.
he said dance across the battle
but punch straight through that wall
though your knuckles may be bleeding
they'll be healed before the fall.
after war comes peace
after peace comes war
but remember
if it weren't for fighting.
we'd be fighting for ever more
i was walking into walls
'till i walked myself to peter
and i let my shadows fall.
rides a goat around the lake
he's a friend who never falters
to change my circling fate.
but punch straight through that wall
though your knuckles may be bleeding
they'll be healed before the fall.
after peace comes war
but remember
if it weren't for fighting.
we'd be fighting for ever more

I love this song. It's so light and folky.
i love this song. it's probably one of the simplist of his but it's lovely.
I think it's about learning how to cope with conflicts in life. You can faulter and stumble around like he does at the beggining, you can stay away and stay a boy forever like peter, or you can choose to take things lightly and not let them effect you (dance across the battle) but take action when it's really needed (punch straight through that wall).
I love this song. Like you said red pen, it's very simple, which is why it's so effective.
