this song is perfection.
Perhaps he's talking about letting go or blocking out all the petty shit and people in his life (i.e. "eat the sorrow"; "hunting for secrets..."; and "hunting down demons...") and just looking to bring happiness or excitement into his life (i.e. "lick the spark" - the spark being the excitement) to kind of negate all of that.
Being that it's something as simple as speeding in a car just for the adrenaline rush, excitement can still bring happiness to a person even if it's within a small time frame.
This is the first Patrick Wolf song I ever ever heard and it will always be my favorite. I think this song is brilliant and beautiful. Amazing.
