I think this song is about how hypocritical we are as a nation, and how we try to change every one to follow our tainted ways.

This song is a contrast between the past and the present and how even though many things have changed hate remains through the ages. The song begins with the discovery of the Native Americans and how their culture was raped by the founders of our country and then goes on to address present forms of hate such as gay bashing. They also show how hate and hypocrisy usually go hand in hand when they say "Burn the huts and rape the women/Show them how to save their souls." The line: "Teach them how to love control" signifies the corruption of a peaceful people.

ok this is the song that made me completely hate Lola Ray.... as people. it'd take a lot for me to hate their music !

I think it's about how the government is so quick to point fingers at others when they themselves are the ones who are causing the problems, but they're trying to cover it up by blaming it on others, like the minorities, I guess.

I don't understand the 'what's got eight legs .. staring at his jesus' part. I'm guessing he's talking about America again, but then I don't get the eight legs part. Is he .. comparing America to a spider? aha. I don't know.

gah. i completely hate this song, and it's making me question lola ray. i mean, i really like the rest of the album (except for slave, which i find kinda mysogynistic). and aaaaaah, i heard this, and i was like WHAT???

The song is about hate and how no matter what there's always going to be hate. It's not my favorite song but it's kind of catchy

why would you question lola ray? its not like they actually think like that.

i think it has to do with when europeans came to america, and put all the indians into slavery, and tryed to make them christian...but maybe thats just on my mind cause i just finished my social studies homework. but i have been trying to figure out this song forever. i might just break down and ask them.

its about people in general going into places and ripping the natives out of their rightful place and then trying to convert them to their religion

Wow. Okay, guys. This song isn't racist. It goes the other way around. Remember that John is filipino? Well that's what this song is about. It's even in some bio of the band. This is his protest against the treatment of not only his people, but other people who have been taken over and killed and destroyed because of egocentrism. So don't go hating Lola Ray. They're the ones in the right about this. The fat men in the song are the ones you should hate.
