How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core
Where I've become so numb
Without a soul
My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home

(Wake me up) wake me up inside (I can't wake up)
Wake me up inside (save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark (wake me up)
Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up)
Before I come undone (save me)
Save me from the nothing I've become

Now that I know what I'm without
You can't just leave me
Breathe into me and make me real
Bring (bring) me (me) to life

(Wake me up) wake me up inside (I can't wake up)
Wake me up inside (save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark (wake me up)
Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up)
Before I come undone (save me)
Save me from the nothing I've become

Bring me to life
I've been living a lie
There's nothing inside
Bring me to life

Frozen (frozen) inside without your touch
Without your love, darling
Only (only) you are the life among the dead

All of this time, I can't believe I couldn't see
Kept in the dark, but you were there in front of me
I've been sleeping a thousand years, it seems
Got to open my eyes to everything
Without a thought, without a voice, without a soul
Don't let me die here
(There must be something more) bring me to life

(Wake me up) wake me up inside (I can't wake up)
Wake me up inside (save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark (wake me up)
Bid my blood to run (I can't wake up)
Before I come undone (save me)
Save me from the nothing I've become

Bring me to life
I've been living a lie
There's nothing inside
Bring me to life

sorry if i'm wrong, guys. since nobody can REALLY know what the meaning of the song is unless you're the one who wrote it O,o .... yeah so none of us really know, we all have our opinions though. this is mine so... yeahh i hope you like it.

"How can you see into my eyes like open doors? Leading you down into my core Where I've become so numb" this is her saying how someone she knows can see the real her so easily, can see her deepest feelings so well, the person can see her very core, which is where ones deepest feelings are, the ones that control your life, except this is where she's become numb, like she can almost not feel anymore, like in depression she doesn't feel joy anymore, no exitement, nothing. only sadness.

"Without a soul My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold Until you find it there and lead it back home" this is her saying that she feels like she has no soul anymore cuz it seems that her spirit just fel asleep and leaves her lost with nothing but coldness. but this person seeems to find her soul where it is and brings it back to her so she can feel right again.

"Wake me up inside Wake me up inside Call my name and save me from the dark" she's telling the person to wake her up from this sleep that her spirit's in. to wake her up from the darkness and sadness that she's been in lately.

"Bid my blood to run Before I come undone Save me from the nothing I've become Bring me to life" she needs this person to save her and love her before she completely breaks down (some form of suicidal thingy) she needs the person to save her from what she's become. which is her being kinda oblivious to the world (numb) so all in all she wants the person to bring her to life.

"Now that I know what I'm without You can't just leave me" now she sees that what she needed to help her be happy is this person. now she knows what she's been living without so she's saying that this person can't just leave her alone now that she's happy finally.

"Breathe into me and make me real Bring me to life" she wants this person to kinda... how do i put this... breath into her as in show her how to be herself again, kind of breath the energy back into her and help her live again.

"Frozen inside without your touch Without your love - darling Only you are the life among the dead" this is her when she's not with the person, she goes back to being numb again, kinda frozen inside. like she's so cold, she stops living. she's frozen in time a little. and only this person is the happiness in all her sadness.

yeah... at least that's what i got out of it. so all in all she's feelingg depressed. she doesn't know what's come over her, but this person seems to be the only one who can make her happy again. i'm sure plenty of us can relate ;)

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
