Easy Comes Lyrics
Early morning hits
I found a way to get out of this
Underneath your desk
I carve your name across my chest
I got off my hands
I got on my knees
Now I know I'll pave the way
To paint your face with greed
I got up off of my knees
I got up on to my feet
And then I found that I paved the way
To pay for your disease
Well easy comes but here we go again
Just take two of these and call me later on
Everything is cool, you can borrow what you want
I've got the necessary tools to get you through the day
It doesn't matter who you are
because there ain't no other way, go on, go on
Now I spend my days
Occupied in different ways
Orange afternoons
Soap-box preachers and jail tattoos
I got off my hands
I got on my knees
Now I know I'll pave the way
To paint your face with greed
I got up off of my knees
I got up on to my feet
And then I found that I paved the way
To pay for your disease
Well easy comes but here we go again
Just take two of these and call me later on
Everything is cool, you can borrow what you want
I've got the necessary tools to get you through the day
It doesn't matter who you are because there ain't no other way, go on, go on
Easy comes and easy goes
Well easy comes but here we go again
Just take two of these and call me later on
Everything is cool, you can borrow what you want
I've got the necessary tools to get you through the day
It doesn't matter who you are because there ain't no other way, go on, go on

I think this song is about drugs.
What the hell is wrong with you it;s obviously about drugs. That doesnt mean Ian is a drug addict, he can still write songs about drugs. I think its from the perspective of a drug dealer (just take 2 of these (ovviously pills)) yeh know. Its a great song, like all of thornley's. This one perticularily has that powerful electric feel to it.
This is the one song of Thornley's that I can truly appreciate, has a power drive that the other songs just don't have.
GAWD....Here we go again with the "drugs"...Please people give the man (I.Thornley) a little more respect than that! Remember : He is a grown man that has outgrown his drug induced days and has a vast amount of more life experience than the norm. Perhaps if you studied his bio you would gain a little more understanding to his thought preocess when it comes to writing lyrics for an album.
