Milk Man sleeps on the roof in the noon
Bana-na-na stabbed to the arms, weird man
Ooh-la-la
Milk Man sneaks in the house under moon
Miracle words come to a mouth you may hear
Peek-a-boo
Chorus:
Come closer
How beautiful I play sound
Boys and girls
Here I come
I get you to escape night
Boys and girls
Be mine
I'll take you to my dream land
Now you're mine
I'll take you to our dream land
Milk Man smiles to you "Hi" in a nude
"This banana stuck in my arms, oh my love"
Stabbed to the arms, ooh-la-la
Yellow one
Chorus
Boo, boo, the Milk Man
Hi, hi, he's masked man
Bana-na-na stabbed to the arms, weird man
Ooh-la-la
Miracle words come to a mouth you may hear
Peek-a-boo
Come closer
How beautiful I play sound
Boys and girls
Here I come
I get you to escape night
Boys and girls
Be mine
I'll take you to my dream land
Now you're mine
I'll take you to our dream land
"This banana stuck in my arms, oh my love"
Stabbed to the arms, ooh-la-la
Yellow one
Hi, hi, he's masked man

I love this song
I think that these folks rock! High concept or low fi, they just have the right mix of avant garde and grind.
apparently, this song is about how the milkman invades children's dreams and molests them by attracting him with flashy words and colors and such. it is closely related to miyazaki's "spirited away".
The only thing cooler than this song is the cover art, nice Avant Garde band
i agree about the molestation but it's related to miyazaki? wth? i mean, i can see him doing something totally cool inspired by this but other than dream land i'm not getting the connection with spirited away. o.O;
actually milk man is a character created by the artist ken kagami. his drawings were used as the albums artwork.

this is my favorite song ever. it actually inspired me to write a small tale, hahah.
this is such a cute song, despite the supposed "meaning" behind the content.
Deerhoof is so not like that. They are the goofiest band ever. You should see some of their interviews. No this song is about a made up character named the milk man who wears a mask and lures children into his dreamland by playing them music and traps them. It's like one of those weird childrens stories that kids love when they are young but realize how creepy they are as they grow older. The rest of the songs on the album describe the dreamland as being a happy place for children. It almost reminds me of a circus at times, or an old animated fantasy movie. No molesting at all or any connection to spirited away. Sorry.
I second what ComicalBird said. And precipitate, and ZipperHead.
