Real, A Lie Lyrics

So free and so far, so aroused
So alone I try to find the lie,
That lies beneath you, I try
Like a wave, I'm self-acclaimed

Real a lie, you’re truly mine
I am that kind, living blind
Real a lie, I am that kind
Living blind, for a lie

Behind closed doors your folded blind,
You're truly mine, from behind
Closed doors you meet me,
Like a wave, I'm self-acclaimed

Real a lie, you’re truly mine
I am that kind, living blind
Real a lie, I am that kind
Living blind, for a lie

Deep and so far, low down
Growing green, far above the waves
Got a lie, you and I
Wave, wave, wave

Doo doo doo doo

I think this song ia about someone wanting someone else and shes having fantasies about being with them...kinda abstract in parts though :S

I think of a long distance relationship. She enjoys traveling, but lonely and sexually frustrated. So she lives in a fantasy, to keep remembering her lover. She probably wonder if he still really loves her.

i think its a girl who's a man's other woman in an affair n she really likes and wants him but knows its all a lie

I agree wuth flamingpurple, it's about a woman that has an affair with a commited man. See the words: "You're truly mine, from behind, Closed doors (...) I am that kind, living blind". She knows that she is lying to herself, and for now it is fun for her!

This is the first song of MAdM I heard (Is when the seed of love was sowed). I totally agree with my predecessors. There is absolutely an other woman content in the song.

"Deep and so far, low down Growing green, far above the waves" - The only part I can't really grasp.

@MeaningDigger I think the waves are waves of arousal but the jealousy is stronger than those feelings. Hence growing green as the jealousy builds above the waves of sexual arousal. The doo doo doo bit could mean a number of things either she's trying to distract herself from the feelings, possibly a reference to masturbation or a descent into delirium, or possibly her berating herself for feeling like this.

One thing to add is that this song links closely with another song on the album called 'followed the waves' where she has clearly got over the attraction or crush she portrays in this song.
