Sunshine Lyrics

Mr. Sunshine in the morning
In the morning light
Won't you come down from the ceiling
Won't you stay the night
Baby won't you stay the night

In the summer I remember days so long and hot
These past weeks it has been raining
And now my song's a flood
Baby now my song is a flood

You've been driving down that same road
Road rage in your eyes
So won't you come down from the ceiling
Won't you hear my cries
Won't you hear my cries

Oh, I love this song as much as most of her songs...

It's about the sun :D I think she asks the sun to stay in the winter and in the night. This song reminds me of the summer and makes me happy :)

this song means so much more, maybe even like a summer love or something. I cant exactly put it into words myself, but the meaning is there and its waiting for someone else to explain it to me.

i agree with you, sophiaclovee.. 9 out of every 10 regina songs seem to have more meaning than the simple interperetations most of us make right off the bat.. its interresting to re-listen to an old song from her and discover a whole new application of the lyrics, no? or even to hear someone else's two cents and see that there's an entire meaning there that you never could have discovered on your own.

(although sometimes i think we all go a lil overboard and if regina herself were to happen upon our musings, she'd tell us to "put dirtballs in our packets and take off both our shoes"

i def. need to go to bed.. i have no idea what i'm talkin about and should discard this comment...

oh and no idea abt the meaning of the song past wishing for the sun... i've only heard it once! :-)
